Menulis wasiat dengan As-Salihin

Bakpo sibuk wasiat ni...nak mati dah ke. Knowing when you will die is its own nikmat. I first got into this whole urgency to write my wasiat because I saw a verse about wasiat on TV. And that's really my only motivation at first. Then I learnt more online and on TV shows (thank you Ustaz who used the P. Ramlee 3 Abdul comparison) about how susah it is for your waris if you don't settle your harta, tak kisah how little you have while you're still alive. Dah la dosa masa hidup, then sebab tak settle harta, tambah dosa masa mati pulak. Urgh, I have enough sins already please... The main reason for a wasiat are: 1. settle your debt. how you gonna die peacefully, go to heaven if you don't settle your hutang? Debt got hutang dunia and hutang akhirat.  a. World debt are your loans, credit cards, PTPTN: can take out life insurance for that if you still young. b. Akhirat debt is zakat pendapatan, zakat harta, zakat emas etc, fidyah, badal haji if you can afford but didn't go

Singapore Halal Tingkat Food Delivery

Hello, Just to share a tingkat service I subscribe to. Subscribed for 2 months now and the food has been great! Plus I don't have to find the food, decide what to eat, saves me brain space for more important stuff. Name: Zaiton Muslim Food Phone: +65 8612 0641 Delivery location: East area Price: $155 for 2 pax for 10 days without rice, it's pricier than other tingkat service but the food is OMG. So it's worth it for me. Since the 2 pax portion is for me alone, I requested for alternate days delivery and they were very accommodative to my request. They will also cater to any changes on delivery days you need to make, just inform them about 2 days ahead. They don't have a fixed menu, they go to the market every morning and see what's on the market's menu. They deliver in transparent plastic containers 3 items: 1. Something soupy (Ikan Asam Pedas, Kari Ayam, Daging Masak Lemak etc.) 2. Something dry (Sayur Goreng, Ayam Goreng, Daging Bakar etc.) 3.

Budget stays in Singapore for Muslims

Just to share based on several hotel tries in Singapore. 1. Geylang is NOT a good place to stay for Muslims as that is the red light area. Its actually not a Malay area at all, it just happens to share the same name with the real Malay Geylang area which is Geylang Serai.  The Malay Geylang area is actually at Geylang Serai. Look for budget hotel near Joo Chiat Complex, Geylang Serai Market. The market is alive from morning till late afternoon. Plenty of halal stalls upstairs. If the stalls are closed, there are still plenty of halal restaurant in the area to choose from.  Nearest MRT is Paya Lebar (green line). 2. Little India is actually my favourite place to stay. Reason is because they have many 24 hours mamak (indian muslim) restaurants and the place is more alive than Geylang Serai. The best part is seeing Indian Muslim and Indian Hindu living so harmoniously together. On weekend nights you can see all the indian labour worker gather. It's like a big picnic.

Halal food and fashion in Shah Alam Malaysia

This map was made for my Singaporean friend who wanted to go jalan-jalan (basically eat la) in Shah Alam. There are just so many in Shah Alam so I narrowed it down for her to focus on, still a lot.

Halal Food at Don Mueng Airport Bangkok Thailand

2018 update from a blog reader: " There is now a halal restaurant. It's named The Villa Halal. It's on the 1st floor above international departures.  There is also a prayer place for Salah." If you're not at the airport yet, fill your stomach before you reach! Don Mueng Airport is not a halal friendly airport. As of 9th Feb 2016, there is only ONE halal place in the airport. Location: Departure hall, left side from entrance, under escalator. Food: kebab Seats: not many, so you'll have to pack and eat at the nearby Air Asia ticket purchase counter if its full. Plus the seats are not elderly friendly. I didnt notice any Muslim running the shop, but what choice do we have? Again, do your due diligent!  I reached the airport based on Foursquare review that said there were 2 halal places in the airport. 1.  I couldnt find the halal food stall at the office block foodcourt and the place is really not elderly friendly.  2. The

Ramada Hotel Menam Riverside Bangkok Thailand Muslim Review

Period of stay: 7th - 9th Feb 2016 (3D/2N) With who?: husband and elderly parents Rooms: 2 connecting rooms with river view 1. Halal food at hotel: Fail The hotel has 4 halal item out of around 40 items on its buffet. The 4 halal items were briyani rice, chicken curry, and 2 other items to compliment the briyani. It failed my halal test because the halal section was only demarcated when I asked, and it was on the same table as the non-halal items. The hotel staff mentioned a separate kitchen but... the plates and utensils provided were the same! So basically they don't know what they're talking about when they say they got halal food. 2. Ease of finding halal food: Fail The nearest halal restaurant is a Silom Street and you have to take a texi there. Tips for Muslim travel in Bangkok: 1. Stay at a halal hotel, best is to find a Muslim owned hotel. Many claim 'halal' status but upon arrival its obvious they dont know what halal is.  2. Get a Muslim tour guide, our guide

When your dad starts blogging

Taught my dad how to blog today, it was awkward and amusing. Was the first time someone ask me what's 'post' and why it needed a title, why a blog needed a title. Cracked my head till finally got an idea saying a blog is like a newspaper and a post is like an article and an article needs a title. Haha, dads are like kids, just that you get to ask money from them with just a cute smile. Hehe...
